Sustainable farming
We use farming techniques that protect the environment. We treat the vines in moderation and upon the vine cycle and needs. We also manage grass cover between each vine rank to maintain the healthy ecosystem.
All year long a strict and meticulous vineyard management requires efforts and patience :
  • Tresseling consist of lifting the branches in order to allow free circulation between the rows and to maximize the exposure to the sun
  • “Complantation” is the technique use to replace, each year, dead or injured plant
  • Density control 4500 ft/ha – 48HL/hectares
  • Thinning which consists of removing a certain number of clusters and leaves before the start of the ripening period. It is a tailor made job that requires dealing with each stump one by one.
  • suckers removal
  • The vineyard is also fitted with an open air lagoon used for water treatment
  • Green harvest allows us to control the yield
  • Harvesting: this is where a lot of patience is needed. We tend to harvest late in order to pick the grapes at optimum maturity. Harvest is done at night to preserve the freshness and quality of the grapes
The winemaking techniques we use depend of the vintage’s needs :

Each parcel is individually vinified in order to keep the identity of the grape variety and terroir. Grapes are sorted on a double automatic table before being selected by hand

In general Bordeaux traditional techniques and modern equipment complete each other. Fermentation takes place in a modern thermo regulated stainless steel tanks, with a controlled temperature system.

50% of the wine is aged in French oak barrel for up to 8 months in order to give a perfectly balanced oak character

Multiple tasting are made in order to follow the evolution of each tank before deciding of the final blend. Our wines are blending just before bottling. To avoid altering their character they are neither filtered nor fined. Blend : 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc et Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec

“Wonderful open nose with ripe black fruit and toasted liquorice oak aromas. Powerful gorgeous fruity mouth. An imposing but harmonious structure, freshness and a long length. Good ageing potential.”
Guide Hubert Restaurants et Vins
“It’s the perfect red wine to host. Its label is simple with a chic designation and an elegant name. Inside we can find a delicious viceyard, in fact Bordeaux Supérieur keeps its chlorophyll, coffee and blackberries flavour. To drink with the three mixed meats of a baeckeofe”
Cuisine et Vins de France
“Wine with a rich woody, and a little bit candied flavours. A beautiful intensity, a large coolness and refires tannins, which gives this beautiful velvety red.”. Exceptional success.”
La Revue du Vin de France
“For about 5 years now, this vineyard located near Fronsac has charmed by its generous and unctuous wines with a blend of expressive fruit and toasted oak. A great success. Splendid complex matured nose, great powerful fruity mouth, harmonious tannins, freshness and an exceptional structure. This is a wine to be waited for.”
Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve
“The blend is marked by the Merlot in this wine born in the chalky-clayed Fronsac terroir. The garnet red color makes its dark purple reflections glitter in front of the eyes of tasters delighted with the bouquet’s complexity in which candied red berries join with pleasure coffee and toffee notes. The mouth is quite as much generous, offering volume, fat and powerful tannins. A wine dedicated to a great future. To be kept in cellar for 3 years.”
Guide Hachette
“This is packed with just the right amount of tannins and dark fruits. It has weight, structure and a blackberry note. It needs to age at least five years for the full character to emerge.”
Roger Voss - Wine Enthusiast - 2013
“Dark plums wine with spicy savoury character. Coffee and cedary tobacco notes. Modern and elegant.”
