“The 2016 La Bergeronnette is a pure Cabernet Franc from the Bordeaux Supérieur from Fleur Haut Gaussens. It has a feisty bouquet with hints of green bell pepper that infuses the “punchy” black fruit that demands attention. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy black fruit. There is a keen line of acidity that guarantees it feels fresh and precise all the way through to the finish. No wonder this was a big success at en primeur. This is an excellent wine and I suspect it will give a decade’s worth of drinking pleasure.”
